Wii exhibited by Nintendo at the E3 conference parade and gamers were given a chance to check the advanced technology of this newest gaming console. But fans didn't get any idea of its price and availability.

Gamers and fans were excited to hear on the press conference last Monday evening when Sony announced that they are releasing their newest gaming console, PlayStation3 in North America on Nov. 17. To add to their excitement, Sony publicized that they are releasing two versions: a 20GB Hard drive version that sells at $499 and a 60GB Hard drive version with a price tag of only $599.

Despite withholding the release date and price of their newest gaming console, the Wii, Nintendo gave a visual spectacle of the trump card for the Wii-remote controller. It gives gamers a more exciting experience with playing sports and fighting games, as it gives a gamer freedom of movement and a diversity of handiness that can revolutionize gaming experience, and proves being previously called Revolution does give it justice.

Nintendo focused on revealing the capability of the remote controller and also showed the 27 games available for the Wii. They highlighted the magnificence of the Wii to whet the appetites of gamers before announcing the price and it its release date.

Highlighting the Wii remote controller and diversity of games on center stage, and focusing on Nintendo's aim to make the game accessible and wide-ranging for their mass-base of gamers who have been patronizing their products. They named their newest console the Wii as homonym to we. In an interview, Nintendo VP for Sale and Marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime admitted that the name is receiving mixed reviews, but is a positive that fans will eventually recognize the name of the Wii. Fils-Aime was grateful for the response of a lot of people who wrote good things about the Wii the day they knew about it and saying in an interview, We want to thank everyone who wrote good things about it the day you heard about it.

Even though Nintendo keep on not announcing the release date and price of the Wii game console, they somehow gave a hint about these things. The company told that the console might be out in the market by the fourth quarter of 2006 and its price might be lower than the other new game consoles like Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The company also told that they will have a different target compare with their competitors since they will include non-gamers or people who would only like to play simple games.

Super Mario Galaxy was launched by Nintendo EAD Tokyo and declared by Nintendo for Wii. This 3D platform game was introduced on November of 2007 in Japan, United States, Canada, Europe, Australasia and September of 2008 in Korea. This is the 3rd 3D released of Mario series after Super Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine.

The game is led by Mario who is a hero and his main task is to save Princess Peach from the games primary bandit, Bowser. Galaxies filled with small planets and worlds are the different stages of this game. Gravity effects and new power-ups are available each level.

Outer space is the main setting of the game. Mario moves from galaxy to galaxy to accumulate Power Stars but he needs to complete the quest and defeat all enemies. Each galaxy is composed of planets and other space objects that player will discover. This 3D platformer game uses a new physics system that acknowledge for a unique feature. However, movements to a 2-dimentional axis are limited.

As of December 31, 2008, Nintendo had sold 7.66 million copies of Super Mario Galaxy worldwide. This game is the second best-selling non-bundled Wii and ranked sixth best-selling Nintendo-published Wii game. Based on Famitsus report, Super Mario Galaxy has sold 912,746 copies in Japan as of July 9, 2008. And since the launch of the Wii, as of April 1, 2008 Super Mario Galaxy has become the third best-selling video game in Canada according to the NPD Group.

August 2008 issue, Nintendo Power voted that Super Mario Galaxy was the excellent game for Wii and the only Mario game to be on the top spot on the list. The only video game to be chosen for the highest position. The top rated game of all time is the Super Mario Galaxy based on TopTenReview and MobyGames.

The Super Mario Galaxy is famous to be one of the best titles of all time and named Game of the Year by IGN, GameSpot, Nintendo Power, GameTrailers, Edge and Yahoo! Games towards the end of 2007. February 7, 2008, Super Mario Galaxy named as "Adventure Game of the Year" award by Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences at the Interactive Achievement Awards
